What forms of ID do you accept for notarization?
In Arizona, I accept various forms of identification, including:
- State-Issued Driver's License: A valid Arizona driver's license.
- State-Issued ID Card: A valid Arizona state ID card.
- U.S. Passport: A current U.S. passport.
- Military ID: A current U.S. military ID card.
- Resident Alien Card (Green Card): A valid resident alien card for non-U.S. citizens.
- Tribal ID Card: Tribal identification cards issued by Native American tribes.
- Other Government-Issued Photo ID: Various other valid government-issued photo IDs.
The ID must be current, unexpired, in good condition, and the name on the ID must match the name on the document being notarized. The individual seeking notarization must be physically present, and if not personally known to me, credible identifying witnesses may be required.
